Countdown Timer
A task countdown timer with a timer name, notes, todos, local saving, share links, file backup, and operation history.
Use notes for reminders, context, or links. Leave this collapsed when you do not need it.
Use todos to break the countdown into small steps. Skip this section when a list would be extra noise.
Time info
Operation history
Operation history is off by default. Turn on "Record operation history" in settings when you want to review starts, pauses, time changes, and edits later.
What this tool does
Set a countdown, track the timer name, notes, todos, start time, estimated end time, remaining time, and important actions during the session.
Share and transfer
Timer state can be saved locally, backed up to a file, restored from a file, or moved to another device with a share link. No server storage is provided.
Local browser storage
The timer state is stored in your browser localStorage unless you back up a file or use a share link yourself.
How to use it
Set hours, minutes, and seconds with the large inputs or quick adjustment buttons.
Open notes and todos when needed so the countdown also records what you plan to do.
Start, pause, resume, reset, or adjust the timer. Each meaningful action is listed in the operation history.
Use the share link, back up to file, or restore from file to move timer information between devices without server storage.
FAQ
Is my timer saved on a server?
No. The timer only uses browser localStorage, files you back up yourself, and share links you create.
Can I move a timer from desktop to phone?
Yes. Use the share link or a backup file, then send it through your own messaging, cloud clipboard, or file transfer tool.
Does the share link include operation history?
By default it does not. Enable the history option when you want a fuller but longer share link.
Will query parameters affect SEO?
The canonical tool page remains the clean /daily-tools/countdown-timer route. Query parameters are only used to import timer state.
Will the timer notify me when time is up?
The page shows a finished notice and updates the tab title when the countdown reaches zero.
